Dik Banovich a joué sur la scène Blues - Folk pendant nombreuses années.
Il a grandi à Chicago puis a vécu en Ecosse durant des années 70. Depuis 2002, il vit à St Mayeux (22).
Adepte du style picking, il a été influencé très tôt par le blues - swing, la musique traditionnelle irlandaise et slave.
Dik continue de jouer seul et en duo accoustique avec l'harmoniciste Thierry Perron au sein de DOCTOR BLUE.
Dik Banovich has been on the folk & blues scene for more years than he cares to remember.
Brought up in Chicago, his rhythmic finger picking style and warm expressive vocals reveal his early exposure to the blues, and the influences of his Irish - Slavic roots.
Since 2002 Dik has lived at St Mayeux and continues to perform and hold guitar workshops in Brittany.
He continues to perform solo and with harmonica player Thierry Perron throughout Brittany as DOCTOR BLUE.
